Lakbay-Kaparid (Good Samaritan) Program

In response to the emerging concerns, issues and needs of migrants and People Living with HIV & AIDS and their families, Lakbay – Kapatid was (Good Samaritan) Program was developed.  This is in line with the Thrust of the Daughters of Charity (DC)
Philippine Province, which identified HIV & AIDS as priority concerns.  This thrust was further articulated and strengthened in its 2003 Lines of Action which states –“Establish work groups in International, Provincial, Local levels to commit our selves to serve the new poor – the migrants; refugees or displaced; & the PLWHIC/&AIDS & the affected families”.  The program aims to provide services which facilitate the healing and recovery of these new poor in our modern society.

 
   

SETON HALFWAY HOME

It is considerably seen as the support service of LKP.  It provides temporary shelter to individuals and/or families in crisis situation who need immediate relief and assistance until such time that they have regained the courage to face the difficulties that temporarily hampered their functioning.  

DORMITORY APOSTOLATE

Also a support service LKP, It offers accommodation facilities for individuals

 
 

particularly those from nearby provinces who have no place to stay while in the city for a specific number of days.  It aims to provide a secure, safe, and homely atmosphere while being away from home.

KALAKBAYCENTER (Psychological Services)

This is seen as a support service that cuts across all other programs.  Kalakbay Center facilitates the institution’s provision of psychological services primarily for the Sambahayang Asilo.  It has also increased its linkage with other agencies; government, non-government and faith-based organizations.  It offers services such as: a) Psychological Assessment; b) Counseling and Psychotherapy; c) Group Growth Sessions; d) Consultations; e) Training; f) Supervised Practicum/ Internship.

VOLUNTEER SERVICES

As a mechanism for sustainability, ASVP are open to individuals, groups, organizations who are in one way r the other share the same vision and mission with ASAVP, hence, they are willing to share their time, talent and resources in attaining the common good for the Glory of GOD
